Description
Robert Lindley (1777-1855) was England’s outstanding cellist in his time. He performed with the great bassist Dragonetti and published an early cello tutor. The duets of Opus 5 were published between 1801 and 1810, with a dedication to one Temple West, Esq. The first movement of No. 1 in A Major is in sonata form, the slow movement is marked Adagio, and the Finale is a Rondo.
