Description
Jean-Baptiste Bréval (1753 – 1823) was a French composer and cellist. His Treatise on the Violoncello, Op. 42, was published in 1804.
The Six Duets for Violin and Viola were published in the early 1780s; the title page indicates the second part may be played on bass (cello) as well, though that transposition is not included here.
The first and third movements are sonata forms, and the second is marked Andante Poco Adagio
