Description

Purchase includes score and parts.

Piano part arr. for 3-6 celli; solo cello part not included.

Gaspar Cassadó (1897-1966) was a Spanish cellist, one-time student and later competitor of Pablo Casals, and a prolific composer and arranger for cello. His "Sonata in an 'Old Spanish Style'” was written in 1925. Amit Peled commissioned me to arrange the piano part for cello ensemble, and Universal Editions provided the permissions. The arrangement can be played by 3 celli but, due to some necessary divisi passages, is best played by at least 6 celli. Parts intermediate to difficult; solo part not included.

This is a downloadable arrangement. Buy it now and you can download the PDF directly to your computer. To receive printed folio copies (extra charge for postage), ask for them in the comments section of the order.
