Description

Jean-Baptiste Bréval (1753 – 1823) was a French composer and cellist. His Treatise on the Violoncello, Op. 42, was published in 1804.

The Six Duets for Violin and Viola were published in the early 1780s; the title page indicates the second part may be played on bass (cello) as well, though that transposition is not included here.

The first movement is a sonata form, the second an Adagio, and the third a Rondo [Presto] marked "Balabille", a Classic period corps de ballet dance, usually spelled Ballabile.

This is a downloadable arrangement. Buy it now and you can download the PDF directly to your computer. To receive printed folio copies (extra charge for postage), ask for them in the comments section of the order.
