Jean-Baptiste Bréval (1753 – 1823) was a French composer and cellist. His Treatise on the Violoncello, Op. 42, was published in 1804.

The Six Duetts Op. 10 for 2 Violins or Violin and Cello were published ca. 1795.

Duetto No. 1 in C has a first movement in sonata form, a second movement marked Adagio, and a rondo third movement marked Presto.
Duetto No. 2 in F has a first movement in sonata form, a second movement in F minor marked Adagio, and a rondo third movement marked Rondo [Presto].
Duetto No. 3 in G Minor has first and third movements in sonata form, and a second movement marked Adagio.
