4 Celli.  Four vocal or choral works from the Romantic period arranged for four celli, effective either for cello quartet or cello orchestra. Schubert: Schwanengesang, Op 23, No. 3; Brahms: Chorale “Herzlich thut mich verlangen” (“My Heart Cries Out in Anguish”); Brahms: Motet “Alas, Poor World, Thou Mockest Me”: Bruckner: “Locus iste”. Cello 1 of Brahms Chorale is in treble clef (difficult), cello 1 of Schubert is in tenor clef (intermediate). All other parts in all four works are easy to intermediate, in bass clef, not out of fourth position.
